It seemed like we ate, and ate, and ate this summer. Our friends and family were trying to put a few extra pounds on Luke before we
traveled to Africa. A little bit of insurance, lets say, since he can
almost be classified as "underweight" by his usual BMI. Well, it
didn't work. He gained, maybe, 2 pounds. Now, we've been here in Africa only a
week and he has been looking skinnier every day. Despite the fact that
our neighbors have brought us food and cooked us meals, today he got on a
scale and has lost 7lb. I believe it, too. He looks like he is wasting away. Now that we have settled
in to our new place, my next goal is to try to stop the weight loss. Its more
complicated here...but one of the more wonderful things at our new home
is a bread maker!!! Today, I made some bread...a.k.a. put some ingredients in the bread machine and warm, yummy bread came out!!! Now, we just gotta find a way to get one of these for our next house.

Hope the bread works and lots and lots of butter and oil. That's what they do for underweight kid, right? Not to imply Luke is a kid or anything just saying ; ) Yay for homemade bread!
Gotta fatten that boy up! Not enough pizza lately!
