We have arrived at our final destination! A couple of days ago we finished packing up our stuff and hopped on the bus. The ride was pretty smooth...except the bus air conditioning wasn't working. Oh well, at least we were travelling in the morning. We arrived to a freshly painted (walls and floors) house!! And, as a surprise, the kitchen counters are also freshly tiled!! The fresh paint and new counters make an amazing difference.
We are now settling into life at the hospital compound where we will be working for the next two years. Luke visited the school yesterday and will start teaching math on Monday. In addition, he has two weeks (!) to learn all he can about the IT/computer/internet systems here before the current IT person leaves for a few months . Thankfully, I have a couplle of days to settle in and unpack before starting work in the hospital next Monday.
